A running select gets Oracle error "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges" when the event is set from another session. New selects are possible, though. So, the scope of the event seems to be limited to the active SQL of a session. Probably the underlying mechanism was changed also - if we can trust the error message.
Disclaimer: only a quick, preliminary test was made.
KR FriedrichAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8873109125023142810.post-36697960725959482222017-08-19T11:11:37.755+05:302017-08-19T11:11:37.755+05:30Thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing!Cheyan Sathishnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8873109125023142810.post-80556302960433017662017-08-18T13:11:03.776+05:302017-08-18T13:11:03.776+05:30looking for this 2 days back..Good infolooking for this 2 days back..Good infoDevrajnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8873109125023142810.post-44240519928356844592017-08-18T12:16:50.056+05:302017-08-18T12:16:50.056+05:30Quite UsefulQuite UsefulAnuj Sharmanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8873109125023142810.post-12151409307022403672014-05-06T19:51:23.921+05:302014-05-06T19:51:23.921+05:30consider connecting pooling scenario, where killin...consider connecting pooling scenario, where killing session may invalidate the pool.Nimish Garghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15795821721808548808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8873109125023142810.post-23538661186030284962014-05-06T16:48:13.832+05:302014-05-06T16:48:13.832+05:30hi nimish,
